Paying the players who build
A creator programme shares money with players who make popular content. Course 1 met creators who make videos. This lesson is about creators who build inside the game.
Fortnite's engagement payouts
In March 2023, Epic announced: "Epic places 40% of the net revenue from Fortnite's Item Shop and related real-money purchases into the engagement pool." Payouts are "made monthly" to island publishers, "based on player engagement with each island".

Who can join
Epic: payouts are for "legal entities like companies, and for island creators 18 years of age or older, whose Fortnite accounts are at least 90 days old."
Roblox's Developer Exchange lets creators "exchange their Earned Robux for real-world local currency"; creators must "Be at least 13 years old" and have at least 30,000 Earned Robux.
Earned, not bought
Roblox counts only Robux earned from players. It excludes "Direct Robux purchase", "Robux gift card redemption" and "Trading or resale of in-game items or avatar items".
