AI for the whole studio: Cowork, Claude Design and Artifacts
Not every job is code
The studio is growing. Next to the code there are now receipts to sort, player emails to answer, festival slides to make and a launch plan to keep on track. These jobs keep a studio alive, and they eat hours.
Claude Opus 5.5 already helps us write code. Anthropic also makes tools for the non-coding jobs: Claude Cowork, Claude Design and Artifacts. They speed up the work. People still decide what is right, what is true and what goes out.
Claude Cowork: multi-step work on your files
- Finances"Read every receipt in the Expenses folder and build a spreadsheet by month, with totals for the accountant."
- Support"Sort these 200 bug reports (names and emails already removed) into crash, balance and idea, and count each kind."
- Planning"Turn the playtest notes into a launch checklist with an owner and a date for every task."
Claude Cowork brings the agent design behind Claude Code, Anthropic's coding agent, to work that isn't coding, with no terminal needed. You describe an outcome, and Claude plans and works through the steps: reading and writing files in folders you connect, and using apps you link through connectors. It hands back finished documents, spreadsheets or slides.
At the time of writing it runs in the Claude desktop app, on the web and on phones, on paid plans. In Manual mode it asks before each action, and it always asks before permanently deleting files.
Quick check
Which job fits Claude Cowork best?
- Turning a folder of 60 receipts into a spreadsheet by month, with totals
- Changing the Hyper Shards physics code, outside Git and code review
- Signing the studio's publishing contract

Turning a folder of 60 receipts into a spreadsheet by month, with totals
Cowork is built for multi-step work on files, like receipts into a spreadsheet. Game code belongs in our code tools with Git and review, and signing a contract is a legal job for an adult.
Claude Design: visuals from a prompt
Claude Design is an Anthropic Labs product for visual work. Describe what you need and Claude builds a first version: slide decks, one-pagers, interactive prototypes, landing pages or social images. You refine it by chatting, leaving comments or editing directly.
It can read our code and design files to build a design system (our colours, fonts and parts), so everything looks like our studio. Work exports as PDF, PowerPoint, HTML or to Canva, or goes to Claude Code as a handoff bundle. It launched in April 2026 as a research preview on paid plans.
Prompt pick
Remy needs a one-page sell sheet to hand out at a game festival. Which prompt to Claude Design will work best?
- "Garden Defense sell sheet, A4 portrait, for festival visitors. Use our design system, these three real screenshots, the store QR code and a 2-line pitch."
- "Make something cool for Garden Defense."
- "A poster of Sprig fighting a dragon. There are no dragons in the game, but it looks exciting."

"Garden Defense sell sheet, A4 portrait, for festival visitors. Use our design system, these three real screenshots, the store QR code and a 2-line pitch."
The first prompt names the audience, size, content and style, and uses real screenshots. A vague prompt gets a vague design, and art of things that aren't in the game misleads players.
Artifacts: pages and tools Claude makes
- A press kit pageLogo, real screenshots, trailer, short description and the studio email on one page that creators can open.
- A budget calculatorType in ad spend, installs and lifetime value, and it shows the cost per install, like in the Unit economics lesson.
- A playtest feedback formTesters rate each Hyper Shards wave from 1 to 5. It asks only about the game, never for names, schools or emails.
An artifact is a standalone piece of work Claude makes and opens next to the chat: a document, a web page, a dashboard or a small interactive tool. You can edit it, come back to it and share it. Artifacts start private, and you choose who gets the link. On paid plans, at the time of writing, an artifact can also save data, like answers to a form.
Quick check
As soon as Claude makes an artifact, anyone on the internet can open it.
- True
- False
Show the answer
False
Artifacts start private to the person who made them. Sharing is a separate choice, so the team and a parent decide what to share and with whom.
Humans stay in charge
Anthropic's own safety guide for Cowork says you are responsible for what Claude does on your behalf. So our studio keeps four rules for every AI tool:
- Check its workAI can get facts and numbers wrong. A person checks every total, claim and design before it goes out.
- No secretsPasswords, API keys and bank logins never go into a prompt or a connected folder.
- No players' personal dataPlayers' names, emails and ages stay out. Remove them first, or do that job without AI (the Keeping player data safe lesson explains why).
- A parent owns the accountsClaude requires users to be 18 or older, and these tools need a paid plan. A parent signs up, pays and sets permissions, and the team works alongside.
Bolt says: Start Cowork in Manual mode with one folder made just for the task, and approve each step until you trust it.
Safe or not?
Let's connect Cowork to the support inbox and the Stripe dashboard, give it the parent's login, and let it refund players by itself. Saves hours!
What is the best reply to Kai?
- Logins and refunds stay with the parent. Export bug reports with names and emails removed, and let Cowork sort those for us to check
- Great idea, AI never makes mistakes with money
- Fine, as long as we switch off the approval steps so it works faster
Show the answer
Logins and refunds stay with the parent. Export bug reports with names and emails removed, and let Cowork sort those for us to check
Logins are secrets, the inbox holds players' personal data, and refunds are money decisions a parent owns. Sorting anonymised reports saves the time without putting players or the studio at risk.
A helper for every job
- MarketingClaude Design drafts festival slides and social images in our style. A person checks that every screenshot is real gameplay.
- FinancesCowork sorts receipts into a monthly spreadsheet. A parent and the accountant check it.
- SupportCowork groups anonymised bug reports. The team writes the replies, and a parent sends them.
- PlanningAn artifact holds the launch checklist, shared with the team.
- DesignClaude Design turns a new level idea into a clickable prototype to playtest before anyone writes code.
Bolt says: AI tools save hours, but paid plans cost money every month too. Next: keeping the plan small enough to finish, and looking after the people making it.
